I love the municipality-based research design. But I want to hear more about why the regional FE are seen as a proxy for identity-based opposition. What other observable implications can be tested to demonstrate that this finding means that it’s identity-based?

Hi, great talk and a fantastic research project! I was wondering if you can expand the scope of the paper to member states which had multiple EU membership referenda (like the UK in 1975 and 2016)? In the UK case, there is actually very little geographic overlap - so I was wondering what you think of that case.
