Since some are more open to 2L and 3Ls, what's the process for joining clinics as 1L?

I was also wondering if you could do more than one clinic. For example, doing one clinic as a 2L and then a different one as a 3L?

Are there opportunities for students in clinics to involve themselves in matters revolving around international law? particularly human rights?

Are clinics a mandatory part of the curriculum? If not, roughly what percentage of students get involved with clinics?
