Black Lives Matter: Activism within Mainstream Media and Pop Culture
Join us for a series of sessions with the Cultural Centers, coinciding with and complementing this week’s SEM100 theme. In this session, we explore the ways in which mainstream media frames racial issues. Specifically, we will use a critical race lens to examine the intersections of identity and experience as the Black Lives Matter movement became a pop culture phenomenon.

Facilitator: Kristian Contreras G’22 (C.A.R.E. Facilitator. Office of Multicultural Affairs) and Robin Maxile G’22 (C.A.R.E. Graduate Coordinator, Office of Multicultural Affairs)
